Since 2016, I have served as the primary yearbook advisor/moderator for Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, orchestrating the creation of our school’s yearbooks by coordinating & guiding our team of dedicated students each year.
From conceptualization of a unique theme each year to guiding that theme’s execution, I oversee the process of curating content, designing layouts, and capturing memorable moments throughout the school year. By fostering collaboration, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a keen eye for detail, I ensure that our yearbook encapsulates the essence of our school’s experiences & achievements. Often, that means refining templates & layouts created  by students to ensure consistency throughout the book, and depending on the theme that students come up with, I also often take the lead on developing theme-specific graphics & illustrations for each book. I also design the cover for the book each year.

2016-2017: Classic
My first year as Yearbook Moderator happened to fall on a milestone anniversary year for the school, so as a staff, we wanted to highlight Jesuit’s 75 years by creating a book that felt “classy” and timeless.
2017-2018: Behind the Scenes
Our 2018 book was inspired by the fact that while yearbooks generally cover the "finished product" of events & organizations, practices & preparations are rarely included – hence "Behind the Scenes".
2018-2019: Bound Together
The concept for our 2018 book was based in bullet journal imagery, so our goal was to create a book that looked very handmade (despite all being done entirely digitally).
2019-2020: Sharp
After the “chaos” of the Bound Together book, the yearbook staff (especially myself), wanted to develop a theme that felt cleaner and more consistent throughout, so the staff landed on the name “Sharp”.
2020-2021: Atlas
Because we were still adjusting to the “new normal” in the fall of 2020, the yearbook staff was looking for a theme that somehow represented that feeling of being lost while still trying to avoid any visual or conceptual clichés that tied too closely to Covid... Which eventually led us to the theme of “Atlas”.
2021-2022: Radically Retro
In celebration of the school’s 80th anniversary, the staff landed on the theme “Radically Retro” — which was visually represented with imagery influenced by neon signs.
